fuckyeahtattoos: This was my first tattoo done over 4 sittings. The words ‘Ascend Above It All’ Are lyrics from a Trivium song (Ascendancy), which has always been one of my favourites and meant a lot to me. The entire tattoo is a meaning to me to overcome life’s obstacles and basically do what you want. As the lyrics are giving meaning to ascend above you problems, the coffin with wings is to rise above death and not be afraid of it, and the sun in the background is the dawn of a new day. The roses, leaves and blood effect were just added in for a nicer/fuller image. And yes, I am aware the tattoo is not perfectly symmetrical, it is not meant to be, it’s meant to be similar but not exactly the same, as nothing in life is perfect, regardless of this fact we all need to find things we love and do what makes us happy, it also adds a more realistic effect to it I think.
